Project Description

Google Directions for WSS, MOSS and SharePoint v3/v4 (SharePoint 2010) based technologies.

Enter start and destination details (place name, post code, zip code etc...) and click "Get Directions". A pop up will appear showing Google Directions in accordance with the configuration options chosen in the toolpane.

Configuration Options:

Logo URL: defaults provided for .com and .co.uk Google Maps. Alternatives can be uploaded and referenced if required.

Google Domain: Default: .co.uk - Change to .com for US, .de for German etc...

Map Type: All current google options supported. Map, Satellite, Hybrid & Terrain

Extra Options: Recently added to Google Maps. Options: None (default), Photo's, Wikipedia & Both.

Overview Map: on (default) / off

Traffic: on (default) / off (if supported in that country)

NB: Please note that the supplied installer will not work with SharePoint Foundation / SharePoint Server 2010 environments as this was made for WSS 3.0 / MOSS. To install on SharePoint 2010 environments, please download the WSP file and run the command "stsadm -o addsolution -filename <path to WSP + filename>". The solution will then appear in Central Administration where the solution can be deployed.

Once deployed, go to your site collection and activate the Site Collection Feature.
